NBWA’s 11th Next Generation Conference Empowers Emerging Beer Industry Leaders

The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) wrapped up its 11th Annual Next Generation Success in Leadership Conference yesterday in Dallas, Texas. The conference drew more than 250 of the beer distribution industry’s rising stars from across the country.

“The beer and beverage industry is constantly growing and evolving, creating both challenges and opportunities,” said NBWA President and CEO Craig Purser in a news release. “As we tackle what’s ahead, it’s important to create a space for our emerging leaders to network, learn and chart a path forward. The Next Generation conference does exactly that.”

World-Class Educational Content

Over the two-day conference, attendees heard from NBWA leadership, inspirational business experts, industry veterans, and their Next Gen peers – all while competing with one another for exciting prizes in the “Next Gen Games.” General Session speakers included former CIA and FBI special agent Tracy Walder, business consultant Cari Coats, communications and public affairs strategist Erin Billings, and many more.

Programming also included breakout sessions, as well as peer-to-peer best practice workshops where attendees could learn from each other.

“Connecting with other emerging leaders across the country is an important way to build lasting relationships that will help guide the beer distribution industry into the future,” said NBWA Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Kim McKinnish in the release. “As we write beer’s next chapter, conference attendees will play an important role in ensuring the beer and beverage distribution industry continues to adapt while also championing the policies and practices that have made this great industry what it is today.”

NBWA’s Next Generation Group was established in 2012 to bring together emerging leaders in the beer distribution industry. Since its inception, the group’s work has connected thousands of distributor leaders from across the country.
