Gruppo Montenegro, one of the leading Italian spirit and food manufacturers, has named former Stoli Group Global CEO Robert Cullins as the Regional Director of North America.
This addition continues the company’s overall investment in North America, led by its Amaro Montenegro and Aperitivo Select brands.
As a part of his role, Cullins will lead the development of the company’s regional strategy, including marketing efforts, investments and distributor and importer relations. Cullins brings more than three decades of international spirits industry, most recently serving as Global CEO of Stoli Group, where he was responsible for long-term operational strategy, brand positioning and revenue achievements.
Previously, Cullins served in a variety of roles for leading global spirit companies, including Maxxium, Southern Wines and Spirits, E & J Gallo and Diageo, where he managed premium brands such as The Macallan, Remy Martin, Johnnie Walker and Tanqueray.
“The U.S. market is one of our key growth drivers and North America is critical for our company,” says Marco Ferrari, CEO, Gruppo Montenegro. “Rob’s experience and leadership at the helm of our brands in North America will drive the achievements and successes we’ve set out to accomplish.”
Cullins’ position with Gruppo Montenegro is effective immediately and he will initially be based in South Florida.
“I am thrilled to join Gruppo Montenegro at this critical juncture to develop new strategies and expand our success across North America,” says Cullins. “I’m eager to join U.S. Market Manager, Marco Montefiori, Montenegro Portfolio Managers, Gianni Aslo and Elliot Montero as well as our distribution partner, Total Beverage Solution as we continue to fuel momentum for the brand’s portfolio.”
