2023 saw many noteworthy new alcohols and brands, with quite a few being celebrity-owned. As we look back on the year and remember all the great new beverages we tried, Beverage Wholesaler noted each one that was a celebrity launch.
The brands we feature here are just the ones that made their debut in 2023 — there are so many celebrity-owned spirits to note that we would completely lose your interest by the end if we were to lump them all together. Featuring whiskey, tequila, vodka, rum and more, we have a little bit of everything for spirit lovers. And a celebrity to go along with it.

Crossfire Hurricane
On the heels of releasing their first album in 18 years, the British rock band The Rolling Stones introduced their own rum brand called Crossfire Hurricane. Inspired by the opening lyrics from their hit 1968 song “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” the spirit is a premium blend of rums from Jamaica, Barbados and the Dominican Republic, aged for five years in charred oak barrels. Bottles can be purchased online before they hit retail shelves in early 2024.

Fraser & Thompson Whiskey
In November 2023, Michael Bublé launched Fraser & Thompson Whiskey in partnership with Master Distiller and Blender Paul Cirka. Fraser & Thompson is a blend of Canadian Whiskey and Kentucky Bourbon. Bottled at 84 proof.

Santo Tequila Añejo
This tequila is the fifth expression in Santo Spirits’ portfolio of agave spirits. Launched by rock star Sammy Hagar and culinary star Guy Fieri, Santo Tequila Añejo is distilled from 100% Blue Weber agave. It aged for an average of 24 months in former American whiskey oak casks.

Dos Primos Tequila Añejo
Dos Primos Tequila cofounders, country singer Thomas Rhett and his cousin, Jeff Worn, introduced the latest Dos Primos variant in January of 2023. This tequila is made from 100% blue agave sourced from estates in Los Altos and the valley area of Jalisco, Mexico, and aged for at least 13 months in used bourbon barrels. The finished product is bright amber with notes of brown spices, dried fruit and caramel on the palate.

Three Chord Bourbon Backstage Series
Founded by musician Neil Giraldo, this new collection is meant to unite the brand with musicians in releasing custom signature blends unique to each partnership. The releases are limited editions, and several will come with the opportunity to secure signed bottles from the featured artists. The collection debuted with two blends, one each from country rockers The Cadillac Three and Nashville-based rock band Goodbye June.

Holistic Spirits Co.
Co-founded by long-time actor, vegan and outspoken environmentalist Woody Harrelson and wellness entrepreneur Amy Holmwood, Holistic Spirits Co. offers Origen, a vodka, and Harmony, a gin. Both Origen and Harmony are infused with a proprietary, natural blend of artichoke leaves, elderberries, green tea leaves and muscadine grapes.

Trejo’s Spirits Tequila Alternative
Launched by actor Danny Trejo, Trejo’s Spirits is a new line of alcohol-free spirits. Its first product, Trejo’s Spirits Zero Proof Tequila, has earthy agave notes, with hints of citrus and floral undertones.

Pantalones Organic Tequila
Launched by Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila, this tequila brand is a 100% Blue Weber Agave, super premium ORGANIC Tequila that is smooth, flavorful, and great for sipping, shooting or mixing up in a cocktail. Available in a Blanco, Reposado and Añejo.

Tetya Kapa Vodka
Tetya KAPA is a handmade vodka and the culmination of the friendship between celebrity performer Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Napa Valley Distillery Founder Arthur Hartunian, and Vintner Ian Devereux White. This boutique spirit is clean and crisp, with subtle hints of grain and a faint sweetness. On the palate, it delivers a smooth and velvety mouthfeel, with a delicate balance of fruity and earthy notes.

Betty Booze
Betty Booze is the brainchild of actress Blake Lively. After having some fun with her mixer brand Betty Buzz, the star decided to add in some alcohol. Betty Booze is available in three flavors: sparkling tequila with lime shiso, sparkling tequila with oak smoked lemonade, and sparkling bourbon with apple ginger sour cherry.

Delola
Jennifer Lopez collaborated with Lynnette Marrero, named World’s Best Bartender, to create Delola, a line of ready-to-drink cocktail spritzes. Available in three flavors including Paloma Rosa, Bella Berry and L’orange. Delola is gluten-free and lower in calories.

Mercer + Prince
A$AP Rocky’s Mercer + Prince is a Canadian whisky that boasts flavors of “fruit, vanilla and caramel” combined with “hints of baked apple and cinnamon.” Mercer + Prince has been aged a minimum of 4 years in American White Oak barrels and influenced by Japanese Mizunara Oak.

The Margalicious Margarita
In May 2023, actresses Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rosario Dawson launched their new, ready-to-drink cocktail, the Margalicious Margarita, which is a collaboration with Thomas Ashbourne Craft Spirits. Featuring a 20% ABV, the drink’s freshly squeezed lime juice, pure sea salt and hint of orange zest blend deliciously with the brand’s premium tequila.

The Classic Old Fashioned
In collaboration with Thomas Ashbourne Craft Spirits, John Cena launched a bottled version of an old fashioned. The drink features bourbon whisky cut with notes of bright orange bitters, sweet maplewood and a hint of caramel.
