Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits just promoted Anthony Capparelli to the role of Executive Vice President, General Manager, Nevada, effective May 1, 2024. Capparelli is filling the position of John Landry who was recently promoted to Executive Vice President, General Manager, California. In this new role, Capparelli will report to Lewis Kenrick, President, West Region, and be responsible for leading all business activities in the state, according to the company.
“Anthony’s proven success managing various commercial channels in the large market of Florida positions him as an excellent new leader for Nevada,” said Lewis Kenrick in a news release.
“Building on the strong foundation laid by John Landry, I’m confident Anthony will continue to elevate the performance and culture of the Nevada market, as he brings a wealth of supplier and customer knowledge from his Florida experience,” said John Wittig, Chief Commercial Officer. “I look forward to working with Anthony as he takes on this new leadership role.”
Capparelli’s Experience
Anthony Capparelli’s career with Southern Glazer’s spans over two decades, during which he has demonstrated his expertise and leadership in various roles of increasing responsibility. He most recently served as the Vice President, General Manager, Off Premise Chains, Florida where he managed sales and merchandising performance in the company’s largest channel of business in Florida. Before that, Capparelli was the Vice President and General Manager, South Florida, where he led a high performing team in a continually evolving market, the company states.
He sits on the Board of Directors for the Dolphins Cancer Challenge, the largest fundraising event in the NFL with the mission to improve people’s lives through financial support for innovative cancer research at Sylvester, South Florida’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated cancer center, according to the company.
