Overview
RNDC is looking for an organized and innovative Regional Director Operations to join its operations team. The Regional Director Operations works in conjunction with Field Operations Managers (Directors of Operations, Operations Managers) in the designated region to ensure company standards and best practices are aligned and in place. Provides support and oversight of daily operations which includes financial review and analysis, office administration, shipping and delivery, inventory management and complete “order to cash” and “plan to pay processes.” Conducts regular audits of procedures and processes to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity at the market level. Position requires extensive travel.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operational oversight, coordination and productivity of all operations functions including the warehouse and transportation, financial reviews, supply chain and all related back office functions.
- Oversees, reviews, verifies, maintains and controls budgets, forecasts, projects, financial analysis and performance and communicates to Regional Presidents, State EVP and Corp Ops leadership.
- Participates in and conducts regular financial reviews in each market.
- Communicates and explains goals, concepts, ideas and opportunities as identified through best practices sharing across markets.
- Anticipates problems and develops solutions, plans and recommends policies to improve operational efficiencies.
- Detects, analyzes and corrects problems related to unsafe working conditions and warehouse/equipment/property conditions, in conjunction with Corp Safety Director and Corp Operations.
- Prepares and maintains required paperwork, reports and records. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Works with market Operations Management and Corp Operations and Safety on loss prevention and risk management activities to ensure security and protection of company assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years of previous management and operations experience with an alcoholic beverage wholesaler or supplier preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents (such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals), write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Spanish bilingual abilities preferred.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference as well as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Knowledge of database, spreadsheet and word processing software and order processing systems. Knowledge of Material Handling Equipment and Automation, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Labor Management Systems (LMS) preferred.
- Ability to travel at an estimated frequency of 50% annually.
- Ability to regularly operate a motor vehicle.
- Current state driver’s license.
