Job Description Summary

The Vice President of Retail Sales and Execution is responsible for managing, planning, organizing and directing the strategic execution of RNDC’s retail sales division programs to achieve corporate and supplier objectives across the Washington market. This is a manager of managers role leading the Washington District Managers and Retail Sales team members (100+ FTE).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the realization of division objectives for sales and revenues. Will create and manage comprehensive sales plans that analyze competitive trends, gains and other activities in order to devise effective strategies and tactics, measuring and tracking monthly execution.
  • Will partner closely with the General Manager, other sales leaders, portfolio and finance to achieve supplier and division sales objectives.
  • Will organize the structure of management to ensure that the sales organization is appropriately staffed for the achievement of division and supplier sales objectives.
  • Responsible for communicating to all sales management personnel the sales goals of the organization to be established in a sales plan incorporating supplier objectives.
  • Obtains and monitors feedback regarding customers and suppliers needs and attitudes in order to update sales strategies, forecasts and projections.
  • Will make monthly sales forecasts for the following month to be communicated for inclusion in the product calculations for timely procurement activities.
  • Leads with integrity and focus on manager and associate development and success.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four year college or university preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the Wine & Spirits industry.
  • 10+ years of management experience.
  • Proven track record of successful sales and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) environment.
  • Proven track record developing and managing programs that delivered results.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier and distribution tiers of the Wine & Spirits industry.
  • An orientation for action and a penchant for ensuring details are handled.
  • Strong networking and influencing skills.
  • An ability to prioritize and focus on key drivers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of successful sales and management skills.
  • The ability to train and develop strong sales teams.


Requires a current, valid state driver’s license, ability to meet vehicle insurance requirements as defined by the Company and Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) License, as required by the state. The employee must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and will occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
