Overview:

The National Accounts Manager has specialized skills in the National & Regional Accounts channel.  The NAM acts as a consultant to the accounts in their channel and gives Allied Beverage Group a higher level of credibility.  National Accounts Managers have the luxury of time to assemble and make complete, relevant, portfolio presentations, customized to the accounts needs and areas of opportunity.  The NAM is responsible for – and works with – the entire Allied Beverage Group portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent Allied Beverage Group in National Accounts by exhibiting the highest level of knowledge and competency. Build personal relationships with accounts by increasing customer service and resources, providing professional information and insight that only an “expert” in National Accounts could provide.
  • Continuous account visits and development of personal relationships through social industry events, outings and attending specific organization membership meetings
  • Assist in reaching ABG goals and sales numbers by identifying sales opportunities in National/Regional accounts. Interact with suppliers to develop plans by periodic meeting to achieve these goals.
  • Identify high profile, new, and emerging National/Regional accounts. Ensure that the account will be properly serviced and the accounts’ sales with ABG are maximized by coordinating with the Sales Reps, DSM’s, FSM’s and suppliers by using channel expertise.
  • Communicate Supplier Program Announcements to each responsible Sales Rep and FSM. Report to supplier all non-compliant accounts.
  • To implement and create wine and spirit lists by training and education. Identify and capitalize on opportunities for specialty drink lists and wine by the glass opportunities by offering menu printing, staff trainings and sales initiatives.

Required Education and Experience:

  • 2 years in sales/marketing or experience in the retail trade.
  • Proven track record developing and managing a Business Relationship.
  • Wine & Spirits or other Beverage experience preferred but not required.
  • BA/B degree, or equivalent experience required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of sales and the alcohol beverage industry
  • Ability to access market landscape and develop opportunities
  • Strong presentation development skills
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn new internal computer software
  • Ability to hold a Solicitors permit is a must
  • Strong team leadership and interpersonal skills required given the high level of interaction with members of other functions.
