Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and spirits trailblazer Sammy Hagar’s Detroit-based brewery Red Rocker Brewing is expanding distribution of its inaugural beer, Red Rocker Lager, throughout the state of Michigan, the brewery states.
Red Rocker Brewing celebrated its launch in October with a sold-out concert by Hagar and his chart-topping band, The Circle, breaking The Fillmore Detroit’s record for most beer sold in a single night. This expansion takes the brewery beyond Detroit, bringing Red Rocker Lager to Michiganders at bars and retailers beginning in mid-December, according to Red Rocker Brewing.
Michigan a Favorite for Hagar
“There’s no better place for me to make beer than in Detroit Rock City, and throughout my career Michigan has remained one of my favorite places to play, from Detroit to Traverse City and everywhere in between,” said Hagar in a news release. “I can’t wait for Michigan fans across the state to try Red Rocker Lager.”
Red Rocker Lager took center stage at Hagar’s sold out Detroit concert on Monday, October 23, selling more than 400 cases of the 16 oz. canned beers, totaling more than 9,600 cans of beer, and breaking The Fillmore Detroit’s all-time record.
