Rooster Rojo Tequila Announces New U.S. Importer

Global spirits company Amber Beverage Group has expanded its partnership with U.S. importer of alcoholic beverages, California-based Pacific Edge Wine & Spirits. In addition to KAH Tequila, which the company began to distribute in the U.S. in June 2020, the importer will now introduce Rooster Rojo tequila to U.S. consumers.

“This is a great day for Rooster Rojo as we are entering the biggest Tequila market in the world,” says Mantas Zlatkus, the Global Brand Director of Rooster Rojo tequila. “Our experience in trade shows, including Vinexpo New York 2020, shows that there is a great interest in this brand, and we hope that American consumers will appreciate the smooth and authentic taste that our hard-working team in Mexico has achieved.”

Using 100% blue weber agave, Rooster Rojo tequila is made in small batches at the base of the Volćan de Tequila. Created by the Fabrica de Tequilas Finos Master Distiller, Arturo Fuentes Cortes, and blended with water filtered through real Mexican silver, Rooster Rojo is the first tequila to use this technique.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Pacific Edge through the inclusion of Rooster Rojo in their portfolio,” says Angela Bosco, ABG Brand Director US. “Their category expertise and proven track record is essential in expanding the brand’s footprint in the US and establishing the foundation needed to create strong consumer awareness and pull-through.”

The brand is owned by Amber Beverage Group, which operates internationally from its head office in Luxembourg and through its production and distribution companies in Russia, Mexico, the UK, Australia, Austria and the Baltics, its historical home.
