AB-InBev Acquires Platform Beer Co.

After taking a two-year break from acquiring craft beer brands, Anheuser-Busch InBev is back in buying mode.

The beer giant is acquiring Ohio-based regional craft brewer Platform Beer Co.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2014 by Paul Benner and Justin Carson, Platform was the fasting-growing craft brewer in 2017, according to A-B InBev. The company also makes hard seltzer.

A-B InBev’s last purchase of a craft brewery was North Carolina’s Wicked Weed Brewing in 2017. The company’s other craft brew acquisitions include Goose Island, Elysian, Breckenridge Brewery and 10 Barrel.
