In support of the victims of January’s Los Angeles wildfires, Firestone Walker Brewing Company is joining more than 180 breweries from 25 states and four countries to brew a WE LOVE LA Wildfire Relief Beer. Firestone Walker launched its version of a West Coast Pilsner (5% ABV) on Wednesday, March 17.
Spearheaded by Firestone Walker, Common Space Brewery and Creature Comforts, this international collaboration aims to encourage the community to join in helping to accelerate the road to recovery. Together, the initiative has raised $200,000 so far, according to the brewery. As a part of the initiative, Firestone Walker will also be donating to the United Way’s Wildfire Response Fund.
As a California-born brewery, Firestone Walker Brewing Company has deep roots in the Golden State. With its Propagator brewhouse in Venice—situated near the heart of the wildfire-affected region—Firestone Walker is always looking for ways to support local causes and sustainability initiatives, according to the brewery.
The brewery will be selling its WE LOVE LA beer in a 4-pack of 16 oz. cans, which will be available at Firestone Walker locations, as well as on draft.
