Tequila Herradura has launched its Blanco expression in the U.S.. Joining the brand’s existing lineup of Silver, Reposado, Añejo, Ultra, Selección Suprema and Legend, this release has been crafted at a higher ABV than the rest of the Herradura portfolio at 46%.

The small-batch release boasts sweet and clean notes of cooked agave, spices, pepper and citrus, according to the brand, with a smooth and lingering finish. First bottled in 1870, Herradura Blanco is crafted with 100% agave, slow cooked in clay ovens and fermented with spontaneous yeast.

“Herradura Blanco holds a unique place in tequila history,” said Kelley Kerger, sr. brand manager of Tequila Herradura in the U.S., in a news release. “For nearly a century, this was the only tequila produced at Casa Herradura, shaping not only our heritage but the tequila category as we know it today. By bringing Herradura Blanco to the U.S., we’re sharing a piece of that origin story, inviting consumers to experience an authentic taste of history in every pour.”

Herradura Blanco is available in select markets throughout the U.S. including: Washington, California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts for an SRP of $44.99, according to the brand.
