Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer’s) has published its 2024 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report, now available to view on SouthernGlazers.com. The annual CSR Report, themed “Win with HEART,” provides a comprehensive overview of the company’s investments to enhance local and national charitable initiatives, spearhead efforts in environmental sustainability and create a culture of belonging for its employees.
The CSR Report highlights the passion of Southern Glazer’s employees who contributed more than 12,716 volunteer hours and organized 549 volunteer events to support 426 unique charities during 2024. This impact is a result of Southern Glazer’s grassroots employee volunteering and giving program, VolunCheers, according to the report.
“The unwavering compassion demonstrated by our employees is a true inspiration and testament to the strength of our organizational HEART Values – encouraging our Southern Glazer’s family to win with Honesty, Excellence, Agility, Respect and Teamwork,” said Wayne E. Chaplin, president and CEO, Southern Glazer’s, in a news release. “Our people drive the organization forward and inspire progress. Creating a culture of belonging is not just good for business, but good for attracting and retaining talent. As we look ahead to 2025, I am confident that our team’s collective passion will lead to even greater community impact.”
As part of Southern Glazer’s investment in a sustainability initiative in 2024, the company introduced insulated electric vehicles equipped with electric refrigeration units to ensure temperature-controlled delivery of fine wines while significantly reducing environmental impact, according to the report. Additionally, they deployed over 40 Green Teams nationwide.
