Overview

The primary role of the Market Revenue Management Director is to work closely with the markets and supplier to maximize spend and drive overall margin growth. This position is a key driver in understanding, and leading standardization of price structures, price calendar, M&E and spend budgets. This role will work to deliver margin growth for all parties. The Market Revenue Management Director will use data insights to collaborate with business managers on standardizing process, deal level optimization and share best learnings from markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic revenue plans surrounding the standardization of P&L Alignment, price structures and price calendar and update Executive team accordingly.
  • Lead the analysis of sales data and market share to forecast and make recommendations on margin opportunities.
  • Develop a revenue team that focuses on strategies and gross profit targets.
  • Monitor and evaluate spend budgets.
  • Interact with sales leads and finance partners to understand and interpret the potential impact of market trends, forecasts and opportunities to improve margin.
  • Identify options to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities by partnering with the markets.
  • Evaluate share driving activities.
  • Identify key match ups by markets and look for opportunities to maximize price (Start with Supplier Strategies and customize by market).
  • Determine and communicate margin opportunities, including risks and opportunities, to the business manager and supplier teams.
  • Report on key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators (Margin Growth) to key shareholders.
  • Monitor and communicate reports and insights on margin to business units and supply teams.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting, as needed, to support business requirements.
  • Coordinate the execution of new technology development into revenue management/pricing.
  • Identify opportunities to improve margin and make recommendations to enhance processes.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field desirable (MBA, Six Sigma a plus).
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
  • Proficiency using PC-based applications (such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Understanding of technology tools that enable revenue management planning and reporting (Financial reporting, SAP).
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Mathematical/statistical abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in pricing and analytics.
  • Commercial experience and knowledge of business processes.
  • Analytical experience with knowledge of modeling.
  • Some management experience (project management, functional lead).
