Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) just appointed Richard Davis to the RNDC Board of Directors while transitioning Jay Davis to the role of RNDC Advisor to the Board. Richard Davis assumed his new role on August 1, 2024, the company states.
In Richard Davis’s current role as head of government affairs, he has active involvement in state and federal legislative matters, working closely with Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA). Bringing over 22 years of experience in the beverage alcohol industry with expertise in sales, marketing and finance, his strategic insights help guide RNDC’s future growth and corporate governance, according to the company. Richard began his career with RNDC in 2002 and has held several key positions within the company. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and an MBA from the University of Georgia. He is also a third-generation member of RNDC.
With a 50-year career at RNDC, Jay Davis significantly contributed to the company’s growth and success. He started in an administrative role and eventually became president and CEO of National Distributing Company, RNDC states. Jay has helped expand the distributorship founded by his father in 1942 and is deeply involved in Atlanta’s business community and beverage industry.
Jay serves on the boards of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America where he was the former director of both WSWA and WSWG. He is also a supporter of education, serving as an Emeritus trustee of the Terry College Dean’s Advisory Council, a board member and Emeritus trustee of the University of Georgia Foundation and a lifetime trustee of the Davis Academy, according to RNDC.
