Top Chef winner and host Kristen Kish has created Kish Apéritif, a line of chef-inspired soju-based liqueurs. Containing ingredients like mushroom, smoke, kumquat, ginger, licorice, sour cherries and peppercorn, Kish Apéritif features four unique expressions.
Made with no artificial ingredients, colors or dyes, Kish Apéritif liqueurs come in at 21% ABV, the company states. The line includes four distinct flavor profiles that pull from some of Kristen’s favorite flavors, culinary experience and personal background:
- Kish Shine: A combination of Kristen’s favorite fruit and cocktail flavors. Featured notes include ginger, rose and kumquat.
- Kish Bliss: A delicate balance of sweet, sour and salt from licorice and sour cherry, accented with the fruity heat of pink peppercorns.
- Kish Seoul: A flavor that pays homage to the city of Kristen’s birth and her evolving Korean-American identity. Featured notes include lemon balm, raw honey and hibiscus.
- Kish Earth: Featuring mushroom grounds, this unique flavor results in a balance of earthiness and subtle smokiness.
“It’s a significant moment for me to expand into Whole Foods Market nationally, a retailer who believes in offering the highest quality ingredients to their customers,” said Kristen in a news release. “In Kish Apéritif, the aim was to not only introduce the flavors I love to mixology, but to elevate the standard with an all-natural alternative that people could experiment with and enjoy. As a chef, judge and host, I’m most excited to see what people will make with it.”
Kish Apéritif will be available in-store at all Whole Foods Markets where spirits can be sold, as well as at BevMax and Total Wines, the company states.
