Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer’s) just promoted Amy Kickham to the role of Chief Human Resources Officer, effective immediately.
In her new position, Kickham will report directly to Wayne E. Chaplin, Chief Executive Officer, as part of the Executive Leadership Team. She will strategically lead Southern Glazer’s people and talent to drive the company toward achieving its long-term strategic objectives, the company states.
Kickham will be responsible for leading the Human Resources (HR) function, talent and succession strategies, organizational design and leadership development, and inclusion and diversity. Kickham was appointed to her most recent role as Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness, in 2021 and managed strategies for talent acquisition, talent management, talent development and HR marketing enterprise wide, according to the company.
Bringing a Wealth of Experience to Southern Glazer’s
Kickham has more than 25 years of career experience. She began her journey with Southern Glazer’s in 2012 as Human Resources Director and was appointed Vice President, Human Resources in 2015, the company states. Kickham continued to strengthen her leadership skills as Vice President of Human Resources at Propper International in 2017 and later became the owner of Human Resources Connections in 2018. She rejoined the Southern Glazer’s team in 2019 as Vice President, Human Resources Operations, Policy, and Employee Relations and was promoted in 2020 to Vice President, Human Resources, Central Region.
“After a nationwide search, it was clear that Amy’s HR expertise and business acumen make her the perfect candidate for this role,” said Chaplin in a news release. “Not only does Amy have strategic insight and proven capability of driving results, but she also understands the importance of workplace culture. Amy will continue to drive excellence across the organization as an inspirational and adaptive leader.”
