Premium aguardiente brand Bacan Guaro is now available in New York, New Jersey and Florida as well as online in more than 40 U.S. states through a partnership with Royal.
New to the market, Bacan offers a contemporary twist on a quintessentially Colombian beverage known locally as “guaro.” Bacan Guaro is available in two strengths (24% ABV and 29% ABV), each retailing at $49.99 per 700-ml. bottle, the company states.
Aguardiente, which translates to “fire water,” is a traditional strong alcoholic beverage typically distilled from fermented sugarcane and often flavored with anise, giving it a distinctive licorice taste. Bacan, meaning “cool” or “awesome” in Colombian slang, brings the two together to create Bacan Guaro. It’s already winning awards in international spirits competitions for its taste, according to the company.
