Overview
The Director of Business Intelligence will serve as a primary business partner to leadership in Commercial Sales, Commercial Strategy, Commercial Operations and ETP in providing data resources for increasing effectiveness of market strategies. Directs and oversees high level strategic and tactical decisions for business intelligence tools and applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead and set standards for the Business Intelligence team regarding report execution and tracking, program measure and evaluation, supplier analysis, stakeholder review, retail analytics, business insights and ad hoc reporting.
- Lead and direct the design, development and implementation of Business Intelligence solutions through data analytics.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives on the design, selection and implementation of Business Intelligence applications.
- Enable and direct the Business Intelligence Program Management Process between Corporate, Region and Divisions with a focus on the value-add to each.
- Translate documented project requirements into functional and non-functional specifications for Business Intelligence reports and applications.
- Responsible for the proper execution of corporate and supplier program execution.
- Serve as internal subject matter expert for Consumer Insight Analytics and market trends.
- Lead and Direct SGWS resources to design multi-dimensional models, including the construction of Data Views and Reports.
- Ensure that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision-making capabilities.
- Work with and direct the IT project teams on efficient project resolution.
- Create and update project plans to report the progress to all stakeholders.
- Identify data quality issues and support the data governance initiative by participating in necessary activities including data profiling.
- Determine to test needed to assure the functionality and integrity of reporting solutions, create test plans and evaluate testing results taking corrective action as necessary.
- Establish, implement and monitor reporting and documentation standards to ensure uniformity throughout the organization.
- Evaluate and direct the implementation of security models that ensure compliance.
- Conduct high-level analytical support for requested reporting.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and seven years of experience or equivalent education and related experience.
- Five or more years of experience in Business Intelligence, Business Analytics and/or Sales Forecasting.
- Five or more years of direct supervisory experience.
