Martignetti Companies Celebrates Truck Drivers

Martignetti Companies, the New England distributor of wine and spirits, joins the nation in recognizing and thanking America’s 3.6 million professional men and women who travel more than 421 billion miles a year, and safely transport and deliver 70% of all goods in the U.S.

This year’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week has taken on a new meaning as the world continues to navigate the Covid-19 Pandemic. Drivers and warehouse workers have continued delivering necessary goods to customers.

“We believe our team is the best in the industry,” the company says. “Their commitment to safety and service is central to the success of our business. Over the past year we have deployed more than 11,000 trucks, traveled more than 1.7 million miles and safely delivered approximately 9.1 million cases to our customers. Thanks to our dedicated staff, we have been able to meet our delivery goals and customers’ expectations.”

Sept 12 through the 18 was National Truck Driver Appreciation week. Founded in 1998 by the American Trucking Associations (ATA), National Truck Driver Appreciation Week highlights how critical trucking is to our nation’s economy. Martignetti celebrated its team throughout the week to recognize their work and dedication to the Company.

“We wish to express our most sincere, heartfelt thanks to every one of our drivers, warehouse and sales teams who remained in the field and continued to service our customers and communities who depend on us,” says Edward DeVito, SVP Warehouse and Delivery Operations. “You are all setting an extraordinary example of commitment, professionalism, and camaraderie.”
