Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has published its 2020 Corporate Social Responsibility Report, meant to showcase a commitment to supporting communities the company serves on a national and local level.

The CSR Report details Southern Glazer’s COVID-19 response, from operating safely as an essential business, to providing relief to the hospitality industry. It also highlights Southern Glazer’s mission to bring change through the implementation of various new programs aimed at improving and furthering racial equality, both in the marketplace and within Southern Glazer’s own workforce.

“Our team’s resiliency and dedication truly shined during 2020, and all pillars of our CSR foundation were expanded and put into action,” says Wayne E. Chaplin, Chief Executive Officer, Southern Glazer’s. “We are extremely proud of our people for rising to the occasion and doing the right thing in the face of adversity, all while keeping the safety of fellow colleagues, suppliers, and customers at the core of every decision.”

The Report also highlights the company’s employee volunteering and giving program, VolunCheers. During 2020, Southern Glazer’s employees logged close to 12,000 volunteer hours and nearly tripled their fundraising efforts from the previous year, the company says.

Shifting from in-person to virtual programming, Southern Glazer’s also continued to support education for students of all backgrounds, in addition to promoting safe and responsible alcohol consumption.
