SGWS Publishes 2019 Corporate Social Responsibility Report

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has published its 2019 Corporate Social Responsibility Report, highlighting its efforts in giving back and making a positive impact in the markets where the company does business.

The report captures Southern Glazer’s initiatives to enhance its corporate social responsibility pillars, which include: promoting responsible consumption and prevention of underage drinking, supporting education, cultivating diversity and inclusion, supporting causes important to its suppliers, and empowering local market giving.

“As a Company, we know that our employees are happier when they have a purpose,” says Wayne E. Chaplin, Chief Executive Officer, Southern Glazer’s. “That is why, at Southern Glazer’s, CSR has no boundaries—from giving back through volunteering and financial contributions, to investing in our workforce, enhancing the sustainability of our operations, and ensuring we hold our teams to the highest ethical standards. This commitment to CSR is vital to the communities we serve and takes on many forms.”

This year’s CSR Report also provides an update on the growth of VolunCheers Online, Southern Glazer’s enterprise-wide employee volunteering and giving portal, including the company-wide launch of the VolunCheers Ambassador Program and VolunCheer of the Month and Year Awards.
