Overview:

Develops and implements sales strategies, tactics, and operational plans for sale of represented suppliers in assigned retail accounts. Monitors execution of; pricing strategies, replenishment, central replenishment and operational effencies/programs at a state and customer level to ensure attainment of account goals and objectives. Works with Suppliers and State Management to develop/execute account specific operational plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Manages and implements the development of customer specific operational business initiatives to include the integration of state level inventory control (replenishment) functions and manage the pre, current and post process/analysis of these functions.
•Directs and manages pricing strategies, consumer price trends, and competitive pricing practices by customer by commodity by market. Manages and helps create the customer specific evaluation of business opportunities/gaps and strategies for achievement of approved goals.
•Conducts regular business reviews with the customer to review pricing initiatives/strategies, replenishment analysis and forecasts/plans for subsequent performance periods, Discuss and implement new processes and ways of working to benefit both the customer and SGWS.
•Manage the account specific evaluation of business opportunities/gaps and operational strategies for achievement of approved goals.
•Ensure the integration of fiscal Supplier goals and planned account goals with state level programming and promotion business plans; secures agreement on pricing approach, standards, and process/procedures.
•Through Customer Development Managers, provides business analytics and best practice data to the state execution managers; leverage fact-based data to influence chain direction and enhance The Company’s position within the account
•Monitor execution of pricing, and promotions by account/by market to ensure achievement of stated goals; compare actual performance to Supplier, and account goals and takes corrective action where required
•Accountable for the accurate and timely management, documentation, delivery of pricing to the account and evaluates/develops procedures for accuracy and data synchronization
•Conduct regular business reviews with State Leadership, Assigned Customers, and Suppliers to report: in stock rates/inventory levels, pricing strategies, and replenishment program status; progress in or barriers to goal achievement; and forecasts/plans for subsequent performance periods
•Investigate and resolve service issues associated with Assigned Customers; secure agreements relative to: product availability, delivery, pulls; pricing discrepancies; respond to questions, concerns, and/or complaints.
•Ensure Company policies and procedures are supported throughout the sales, marketing, operations and branch organizations. Encourages and protects diversity
•Interact with the Regional Execution Managers to ensure proper communication of corporate initiatives, assortment/pricing compliance and follow up, as well as general execution and issue resolution
•Perform other job related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

•Bachelor degree plus 5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
•5 years of experience in sales, sales management, category/brand management including but not limited to merchandising, product promotion, and supplier/vendor relations
•Previous experience in global chain account management or brand management, or prior extensive experience with as a Supplier or with a Consumer Goods company
•10 years of sales and marketing experience including sales management supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

•Advanced degree (such as MBA) preferred
•Ability to travel up to 40%
•Proficient working knowledge of computerized applications, for example, word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, email and specialized business applications software
•Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all level of management
•Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, other business areas and government agencies as required
•Demonstrated high level proficiency of oral and written communication skills
•Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments
