Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC), among the nation’s largest premium wine and spirits distributors, today announced that Ste. Michelle Wine Estates is extending its distribution partnership with RNDC for an additional five years in Louisiana, Maryland, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
“We are thrilled to continue our longstanding relationship with Ste. Michelle and our distribution of its award-winning wine portfolio,” says RNDC Chief Operating Officer Bob Hendrickson. “Our organizations’ strong individual histories of leadership in American wine production and distribution complement one another, and this agreement further aligns our commitment to bringing quality brands to market.”
Ste. Michelle Wine Estates owns Chateau Ste. Michelle, which pioneered vinifera grape growing in Washington State, the company says, and has been producing classic European varietal wines since 1967. The winery is best known for its riesling, chardonnay, merlot and cabernet sauvignon.
“RNDC has been a great fit for Ste. Michelle Wine Estates for many years,” says Ste. Michelle Wine Estates President and CEO Ted Baseler. “The two companies are synergistic, including our cultural and management philosophies, which creates excitement for the many opportunities ahead.”
The partnership between RNDC and Ste. Michelle began in 1985, and has since grown to be a brand leader among RNDC’s wine suppliers in the markets it is distributed.
“RNDC’s roots run deep into America dating back to the 1890s,” says RNDC President and CEO Tom Cole. “Our ownership group is committed to continuing to build brands, and we are excited about our future with Ste. Michelle Estates and its great portfolio of world-class wines.”
