This position is responsible for information analysis, implementation of performance improvement initiatives, and leading projects to support efficient operation of the company’s branch locations across the country.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Key responsibility for analysis of purchasing, customer service, warehouse, and delivery operations.  Responsibilities include identifying information needs, developing frameworks to deliver actionable information, discerning opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and prepare weekly and monthly operations reports
  • Analyze costs by branch and function for the purpose of identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Lead operations improvement initiatives in the areas of purchasing, customer service, warehousing, fleet management, delivery, and other functions of the business as may be needed
  • Lead implementation of projects.  Project responsibilities will include documenting business requirements, specifying functional and technical requirements, outlining process changes, implementing new work methods, training employees, and supporting project rollouts
  • Work with corporate managers and branch leadership to resolve issues.  This includes researching the background of issue(s), identifying root causes, quantifying the scope and scale of issue(s), identifying possible solutions, making recommendations, and “owning” the solution
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus; prefer 5 years of analyst experience
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in warehousing, fleet management, delivery, and purchasing
  • Excellent Excel, Access, and/or other data analytics skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with financial statements and financial analysis
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects
  • Ability to manage competing demands and deal with frequent change
  • Ability to interact with all functional areas and organizational levels, including senior management
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Excellent judgment and discretion to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to work independently.  Strong “ownership” of responsibilities and outcomes
  • Ability to travel to branch locations is desirable.  Role may require approx. 25% travel at times
