Wholesaler: Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits
Location: Las Vegas, NV
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Assists with the day-to-day operations of the Special Events Department and coordinates various high-level company functions. Ensures proper implementation of all promotions, events and entertainment.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Manages Events Coordinator, Executive Chef, Kitchen and Wait Staff
• Collaborates on the design and development of all food menus, drink menus, graphics for in-house events, including but not limited to graphics billing and design
• Assists with the coordination, promotion, and execution of small to large events outside of Southern Wine and Spirits
• Assists with the coordinating all non-profit events outside of SWS
• Ensures maintenance of the Chaine des Rotissuers Chapter; including memberships, annual dues, accounting, organization of four dinners per year including the Annual Induction Dinner. Also submitting articles and photos of all events to the National Magazine
• Assists with the organization and execution of over 120 donation projects per year
• Works closely with Events Leadership to ensure that Southern Wine and Spirits is represented appropriately at all events
• Responsible for the successful execution of off-site events.
• Complete miscellaneous directives and other duties assigned from Executive Leadership
• Flexibility to handle pop up events called by Executive Leadership
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledge of food, food product, food preparation and kitchen standards
• Knowledge of fine service, service etiquette and standard practices for full service restaurants
• Knowledge of standard safety and sanitation practices for food and beverage
• Knowledge of wine and beverages
• Ability to drive and maintain a valid and/or current Nevada driver’s license
• Maintain at all times his/her own personal insurance with limits of bodily injury liability of at least $100,000/$300,000 and $50,000 property damage liability
• Two year supervisory experience in fast paced, upscale on/off premise catering organization or restaurant
• Bachelor’s Degree in Restaurant Management, Business Administration or equivalent three years fine dining experience and one year in a supervisory capacity
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, & Excel
• Self-motivated individual with ability to work in team environment
• Flexibility to work long hours
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more

Knowledge in food and beverage related industry
