In a significant realignment calculated to accelerate growth across seven key states, Excelsior Wines, North America’s largest importer of South American wines, confirms a strategic new partnership with Young’s Market Company. Effective June 1, Young’s Market Company assumes exclusive distribution rights for Excelsior Wines in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
The agreement brings into play increased commitment and focus, plus expanded resources, for Excelsior’s portfolio of category-leading brands, starting with Concha y Toro, Latin America’s leading wine producer. With a portfolio that spans Chile, Argentina and United States, Excelsior’s list of brands includes: Don Melchor, Chile’s premier name in Cabernet Sauvignon; the flagship Casillero del Diablo line; Frontera, North America’s unrivaled leader in value wines from Chile for over 30 years; the Trivento estate in Argentina; and Little Black Dress Wines from California. Several new third-party brands are also projected to be launched in Fall 2017.
“Young’s Market Company constitutes a robust partner to help move our brands forward and strengthen business in these key markets,” said Marc Goodrich, President, Excelsior Wines. “As one of this country’s most prestigious beverage industry wholesalers, Young’s has a track record of integrity and excellence dating back to 1888 and they are ideally positioned to increase momentum and success for our brands in all trade channels. We look forward to capitalizing on shared prospects for sustained long-term growth.”
“Young’s Market Company is proud to represent Excelsior Wines and to grow their portfolio of wine brands in key markets across the western United States,” said Rick Gillis, President, Young’s Market Company. “On behalf of our leadership team and sales professionals across these important markets, we look forward to representing the Excelsior Wines portfolio with excellence to our customers.”
