C. Mondavi Appoints New President

C. Mondavi & Family, one of Napa’s oldest wine companies, has announced the appointment of Judd Wallenbrock as President and CEO effective June 19. Judd succeeds John Lennon, who has been interim CEO since November 2016. With this announcement, Judd will also join the Board of Directors as the 74-year-old family-owned wine company continues its five-year strategic plan to pursue significant growth.

Brothers and co-proprietors Marc Mondavi and Peter Mondavi Jr. said in a joint statement: “After a thorough search, the family and Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Judd to C. Mondavi & Family, both as CEO and as a member of our Board of Directors. Judd’s leadership skills and entrepreneurial spirit, as well as the success he has exhibited within 3-tier and consumer direct business models, both luxury and lifestyle wineries, will be great assets to C. Mondavi & Family. We look forward to working with Judd as we take our family-owned business to the next level and ensure our success for future generations.”

“I am excited to take my place as CEO in what is truly one of the great family-owned wine estates,” said Judd Wallenbrock. “I look forward to working closely with Marc, Peter and the fourth generation, as we build momentum for the company’s great wine brands while taking C. Mondavi & Family to new heights.”
